GC Fuji ORTHO LC(Light-Cured)
ORTHOLC is a light-cured orthodontic adhesive produced by GC Fuji. It is a resin-reinforced glass ionomer cement designed for bonding orthodontic brackets and appliances. The product comes in a powder/liquid form with 15g powder and 8g liquid.

Reference Operating Procedure
- Tooth Preparation
a. Clean the tooth surface with a pumice slurry or a brush.
b. Rinse the tooth thoroughly and dry it.
c. Apply 10% polyacrylic acid to the bonding area for 10-20 seconds.
d. Rinse thoroughly and dry, ensuring the surface remains moist. - Mixing Powder and Liquid
a. Use the standard powder/liquid ratio of 3.0g/1.0g.
b. Shake the powder bottle before use to ensure even distribution.
c. For the liquid, hold the bottle vertically and squeeze gently to dispense.
d. Remove any air bubbles from the liquid dropper if they are present. - Mixing Procedure
a. Divide one level scoop of powder into two equal parts.
b. Place the powder and two drops of liquid on a mixing pad.
c. Mix the first half of the powder with the liquid for 10 seconds.
d. Add the remaining powder and mix for 10-15 seconds.
e. Ensure the total mixing time does not exceed 20-25 seconds.
f. The optimal working temperature is 21-25°C.
g. The working time is 3 minutes at 23°C. - Bracket Bonding
a. Apply a thin layer of the mixed adhesive to the bracket base.
b. Ensure there are no air bubbles or gaps in the adhesive layer.
c. Position the bracket on the tooth surface.
d. Press the bracket firmly and remove any excess material.
e. Continue placing other brackets; one mix can bond 4-5 brackets. - Light Curing
a. Use an orthodontic light-curing unit.
b. Light cure each bracket for 60 seconds.
c. After light curing, archwires can be placed immediately.
