Apexit Plus Radiopaque Calcium Hydroxide Root Canal Sealer
Apexit Plus is a non-soluble, radiopaque calcium hydroxide root canal sealer used in combination with gutta-percha for permanent root canal obturation. It offers good physical and biological properties, with no shrinkage during setting and comes in a double-barrel syringe with a base and catalyst.
Clinical application:
- Permanent root canal filling after pulp extirpation
- Permanent root canal filling after treatment of infected root canals
- Permanent root canal filling after internal/external root resorption
Features:
- Good biocompatibility

- Very low film thickness for easy penetration into complex root canal systems
- Convenient handling (auto-mix tip allows direct placement in root canal)

Composition:
Calcium salts (calcium hydroxide, calcium oxide, calcium phosphate), calcium wolframate, colophony, disalicylate, bismuth salts, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, alkyl ester of phosphoric acid
Operation sequence:
- Pre-operative root canal state
- Direct injection into root canal using intracanal tip
- Further delivery using lentulo spiral
- Insertion of master gutta-percha point
- Cold lateral condensation using finger spreader
- Root canal filling completed
